Written
and arranged by Damh the Bard
Damh: “I have
always loved music and had a fascination with myth and
legend, with the old tales of this beautiful island. When I
was about 25, I discovered the ancient tradition of the
Druid/Bard that blended music, religion and folklore. This
discovery made the land a very different place: filled with
wonder and magic, old gods and heroes, speaking trees, the
Otherworld and the Faerie.
“Some
songs are really hard to write, while others seem just to
appear on the page. Merlin
am I was like
this, as though the spirit of Merlin (not the Arthurian
Merlin but the Shaman Druid) wanted his tale told. We can
still hear his voice echoing throughout the land.”
