Khan Brothers and Lou Beckerman
The Khan Brothers is one of the few groups in Britain that sing Qawali, the intense, devotional and ecstatic style of music made famous by the great, late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
Associated with Sufism, the mystical form of Islam, the songs evoke memories of great Sufi saints and include poems by the mystics Rumi, Hafez and Jami set to music.
Lou Beckerman's beautiful and evocative songs in Hebrew and Yiddish resonate with centuries of Jewish tradition.
